The Daily Show: “… even Hitler would have been more sensitive than the danes”

[Tip: Nielsen]

Cartoon Controversy As Cartoon analyst Jason Jones notes, Danish cartoonists always courted controversy. (7/2-06).

Jones: Cartoones can be very powerful – many people do not know that Hitler was about to sign a treaty with Poland, till he saw this cartoon in the Crackhouse Herald Statesman. Hitler was hurt, and he went out to destroy much of the western Europe, and I don’t think it is a stress to say, that the ultimate blame for World War Two rests with the cartoonists.

Jones: … my point is this: The only way to make peace with the muslim people is to get rid of cartoons all together. And they don’t seem so crazed about words and stories and that after the comic-pages, so we can drop that one too. What I say is, that the path to peace lies in a newspaper that is 100 pct. pure Sudoku.

What’s the matter with Denmark? Jason Jones reports on the infestation across the Globe of garish danish culture. (28/3-06, 5,47 min).

“The backlash of danish imperialism… Every corner of this world is now infested with garish danish culture. The stereotype of the obnoxious dane is everywhere… The world has had enough and the Muhammedcartoons where the tippingpoint.”

Wulff: We’re not trying to offend anybody.

Jones: You know who said that – Hitler

[…]

“But even Hitler would have been more sensitive than the danes…”

[interview med Jan Gintberg]

Jones til Gintberg: Why are you trying to impose your sense of humor til the rest of the world?

[…]

“Gintberg are using other people as a prop, just to make them look stupid… But that’s the danes – arrogant, and uncooperative.”

[…]

Jones: Part two will focus on the poor politically climate in Denmark…”

Danish arrogance Jason Jones continues his series and confronts the Danes, on their plans for world domination. (30/3-06, 4,42 min).

“In part two I investigate how danish military arrogance are used to control the world. In some countries it is acceptable to show their military might day and night – the entire danish army is on display here…”

[interview med Steen Gade, SF]

Jones til Gade: Why does Denmark try to control the world?

[…]

“Steens doubletalk didnt stop distract me from danish imperialism… Where does this thirst for global rule come from…

[interview med Martin Djupgast, historiker]

Jones til Djupgast: “… so the vikings reelly were the first nazis?”
